In the latest edition of Access Online we have highlighted an Accessible Housing (Day of Action) on the 29th of July 2024.
Two years ago, on the 29th July 2022, the previous government commited to raising accessibility stanards for new build homes in England. However, they never managed to follow through with this promise.
Disabled people across England
are forced to live in inaccessible homes due to a lack of accessible
properties.
We (at HAD) are joining a group of DDPOs to ask the new government to champion accessible housing.
